How to Turn a Signal into a Post
Learn how to use Reepl's Write Post feature to turn a signal into a LinkedIn or Twitter post using the AI content creator
Every signal in your inbox has a Write Post button that sends the signal's context straight to the content creator. This lets you draft a post based on a real conversation, trending topic, or content idea without starting from a blank page.
Before you start: You need a configured signal profile with signals in your inbox. See Set Up Your Signal Profile if you have not done this yet.
Find a signal to write about
Open Signals from the left sidebar. Browse your inbox or use the type and source filters to narrow down signals. Look at the Relevancy and Trending scores to identify high-potential topics.
Click Write Post
On the signal card, click the Write Post button in the bottom-right corner. Reepl does three things:
- Captures the signal's title, summary, source, and type as context
- Marks the signal as "used" in your inbox
- Redirects you to the Content Creator
Write your post
The content creator opens with the signal's context pre-loaded. The AI assistant has access to the signal details -- the original topic, where it came from, and what type of signal it is -- so it can help you draft a post that addresses the conversation or trend.
Write your post using the editor, or use the AI writing assistant to generate a draft based on the signal context.
Publish or schedule
Once your post is ready, publish it immediately or schedule it for a later time using the content scheduler.
What the signal context includes
When you click Write Post, the following details are passed to the content creator:
| Field | Example |
|---|---|
| Title | "How do you handle LinkedIn burnout?" |
| Summary | A brief description of the conversation or trend |
| Source | Reddit, YouTube, Google Trends, RSS, or Twitter/X |
| Type | Opportunity, Trending, or Inspiration |
| URL | Link to the original content |
The AI assistant uses this context to generate relevant post ideas tailored to the signal.
Tips
- Act on high-relevancy signals first. Signals with a relevancy score above 80 are closely matched to your niche and are more likely to resonate with your audience.
- Save signals for batch writing. Bookmark interesting signals throughout the day using the bookmark icon, then write posts for all of them in one session from the Saved tab.
- Check the original source. Click View source before writing to read the full conversation or article. Adding specific details or a personal take makes your post more valuable than a generic response.
- Trending signals are time-sensitive. Topics with high trending scores have momentum right now. Writing and publishing quickly maximises visibility.
