How to Create Templates

Learn how to create personal templates with placeholders for reusable LinkedIn post structures in Reepl

Personal templates let you save post structures you use often. Add placeholders in [bracket] syntax so you or your team can quickly fill in new content each time.

Choose where to create the template

You can create templates from two places:

Write or edit content in the Content Creator, then choose Save as Template from the save options. This opens the template creation dialog pre-filled with your current content.

Go to Templates, switch to the Personal Templates tab, and click Create Template. This opens an empty template creation dialog.

Fill in the template details

Complete the following fields:

  • Title -- A descriptive name for your template
  • Description -- A short summary of what the template is for
  • Catalog -- Assign the template to a catalog (category) for organization
  • Content -- The template body with placeholder syntax

Add placeholders

Use square brackets to mark parts of the content that change each time:

I just achieved [Your Achievement] in [Time Period].

Here are [Number] lessons I learned along the way:

1. [Lesson 1]
2. [Lesson 2]
3. [Lesson 3]

What is the biggest lesson you have learned in [Your Industry]?

Each [placeholder] becomes an interactive field in the Template Wizard when someone uses this template.

Save the template

Click Save to add the template to your Personal Templates library.

Your template now appears in the Personal Templates tab, ready to use. Anyone on your workspace can access it through the Template Library.

Managing templates

  • Edit -- Click a personal template and modify its title, description, catalog, or content
  • Delete -- Remove a template permanently from your library
  • Share -- Use the Share Template option to share a template with others via a link
  • Organize -- Move templates between catalogs to keep your library structured
