How to Set Up Andy's Posting Routine
Learn how to configure Andy's automated posting schedule, content sources, approval flow, and queue settings.
Andy's Posting Routine lets you set a recurring schedule for AI-generated post drafts. Once configured, Andy pulls from your chosen content sources, writes in your voice, and either sends posts for your approval or publishes them automatically — keeping your LinkedIn queue consistently full.
Before you start: Andy requires a Premium plan or above. Auto-publish (no review required) is available on the Max plan only.
First-time setup
The first time you open the Routine tab, a three-step setup wizard appears.
Navigate to the Routine tab
Go to Andy from the left sidebar, then click the Routine tab at the top of the page.
Complete the setup wizard
The AgentSetupWizard dialog opens automatically on first visit. Work through the three steps:
- Content sources — select which sources Andy should draw from when generating posts
- Schedule — set your posting frequency, preferred days, and preferred time
- Review flow — choose how posts are handled before they go live
Click Next to advance through each step and Finish Setup on the final step to activate the routine.
Configuring content sources
Andy can pull content and inspiration from the following sources:
- LinkedIn Profile — your existing posts, activity, and profile information
- Saved Posts — posts you have saved within Reepl
- Web Search — current news and trending topics in your industry
- Notion — pages and databases from your connected Notion workspace
- Google Docs — documents from your connected Google account
- Airtable — records from your connected Airtable base
- YouTube — transcripts or summaries from connected YouTube channels
- Reddit — discussions and threads relevant to your topics
- Substack — newsletters and articles you follow
- Medium — articles from your reading list or followed publications
Sources that require an integration show a Connect option. Click it to set up the connection before enabling that source.
Configuring the schedule
Set how often and when Andy generates posts:
- Posts per week — choose the number of posts Andy drafts each week
- Preferred days — select which days of the week you want posts scheduled (Monday through Sunday, multi-select)
- Preferred time — select a specific time in HH:MM format, or enable Auto-detect to let Andy pick the time based on your audience's activity patterns
Choosing a review flow
Andy offers two review workflows:
| Option | What happens | Who can use it |
|---|---|---|
| Send for approval | Andy drafts posts and sends them to a reviewer before scheduling. This is the default. | All plans |
| Auto-publish | Andy drafts and schedules posts automatically, with no review step. | Max plan only |
Approval notifications
When Send for approval is selected, choose how you want to be notified that a post is ready to review:
- In-app — a notification appears inside Reepl
- Email — a notification is sent to your account email
- Slack — a notification is sent to your connected Slack workspace
Approval recipient (team plans)
On team plans, you can designate a team member to receive approval requests. Only one recipient can be set at a time. The designated recipient reviews and approves or edits posts before they are scheduled.
Queue threshold
The Queue threshold setting controls when Andy pauses. Set a minimum number of posts in your queue: when your queue drops below that number, Andy generates more. When your queue is at or above the threshold, Andy waits.
This prevents Andy from over-generating when you already have plenty of content scheduled.
Pausing and resuming the routine
To temporarily stop Andy from generating new posts:
Open the Routine tab
Go to Andy > Routine.
Pause the routine
Click Pause. Andy stops generating new posts. Your existing scheduled posts are not affected.
Resume when ready
Click Resume to restart the routine. Andy will begin generating posts again according to your schedule.
The Pause and Resume buttons are hidden when you have unsaved changes. Save or discard your edits first before pausing or resuming.
Editing routine settings after setup
All settings from the setup wizard are editable from the Routine tab at any time. Make your changes and click Save to apply them.
