How to Configure Andy's Settings
Learn how to choose an AI model, connect a voice profile, set language and tone, and configure notifications and timezone in Andy.
Andy's Settings tab controls the AI model Andy uses, the voice it writes in, the language and tone of its output, and how you receive approval notifications. Configure these once and Andy applies them to every chat and every routine-generated draft.
Choosing an AI model
Open the Settings tab
Go to Andy from the left sidebar, then click the Settings tab.
Select a model
Under AI, open the Model dropdown. The available options are:
- Auto — Andy selects the best model for each task automatically. Recommended for most users.
- GPT-5.1 — OpenAI's model. A good default for most LinkedIn content.
- Claude Sonnet — Anthropic's model. Strong for longer-form posts and nuanced tone. Marked with a crown icon (Premium model).
- Claude Opus — Available for BYOK (Bring Your Own Key) users only. Connect your own Anthropic API key in Settings > AI Models & API to unlock this option.
Your monthly usage for the selected model is displayed as a progress bar below the model selector. This tracks your message count against your plan's monthly AI allowance.
When to use each model
- Auto — when you want Andy to adapt to each request without thinking about it
- GPT-5.1 — reliable all-around performance for posts, carousels, and short-form content
- Claude Sonnet — when you want richer prose, more nuanced tone matching, or longer structured posts
- Claude Opus — when you have your own Anthropic API key and want the highest-capability model with no credit deductions
Connecting a voice profile
A voice profile teaches Andy how you write: your sentence length, vocabulary, tone patterns, and stylistic habits. Andy uses the selected voice profile for all drafted content.
Select a voice profile
Under Voice & Output, open the Voice profile dropdown. If you have created voice profiles in AI > Voice Profiles, they appear here. Select the one you want Andy to use.
Create a profile if none exist
If no profiles exist, a Create profile button appears in place of the dropdown. Click it to go to AI > Voice Profiles and create one, then return to Andy's settings to select it.
Setting response language and default tone
Response language
Open the Response language dropdown under Voice & Output. Seven languages are available, shown with their country flags:
- English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Russian, Japanese
Andy writes all drafted content in the selected language.
Default tone
Open the Default tone dropdown. Select the tone you want Andy to default to when drafting posts. Options include: professional, casual, inspirational, and educational, among others.
You can always ask Andy to adjust the tone for a specific post within the chat. The default tone applies when no tone is specified.
Configuring notifications and timezone
Approval notifications
Under Notifications & Timezone, select how you want to receive approval notifications when Andy's routine generates new posts for review:
- In-app — notifications appear inside Reepl
- Email — sent to your account email address
- Slack — sent to your connected Slack workspace
Timezone
Andy uses your timezone to schedule posts at the correct local time.
- Enable Auto-detect timezone to let Reepl detect and apply your current timezone automatically.
- Disable Auto-detect timezone to reveal the Timezone dropdown, where you can select any IANA timezone manually.
If you travel frequently or work across time zones, set your timezone manually to avoid posts being scheduled at unexpected times when your device's locale changes.
