How to Use the Reepl Extension on X (Twitter)
Learn how to use the Reepl Chrome extension on X to draft AI-powered tweet replies and view your X account analytics and post queue
The Reepl Chrome extension works on X (Twitter) as well as LinkedIn. On X pages you get three things: an AI reply assistant that drafts tweet replies inline, an Analytics panel showing your account's engagement metrics, and a Posts panel where you can see your scheduled and published tweets.
Before you start: You need the Reepl Chrome extension installed and signed in with a paid plan. X features are not available on the free plan. See Install Chrome Extension if you haven't set up the extension yet. Your X account must also be connected in Reepl — go to Settings > Integrations in the Reepl web app to connect it.
AI reply assistant
When you open a reply composer on X, Reepl adds an inline command menu that lets you generate a reply in one keystroke.
Open a tweet's reply composer
Navigate to any tweet on x.com and click Reply to open the reply text box.
Type / to open the Reepl menu
In the reply text box, type / (forward slash). A floating menu appears just below the composer with six built-in reply styles.
Pick a style or enter a custom instruction
The menu shows six options:
- Direct — clear, straight to the point
- Witty — clever with a touch of humor
- Agree — support and build on the original point
- Disagree — respectful counterpoint
- Question — ask a thoughtful follow-up
- Insight — add a unique perspective
Use the arrow keys to move between options and press Enter to generate, or click an option directly. To use a custom instruction instead of a preset, keep typing after the / (for example, /reply with a relevant stat) and press Enter when the menu shows your text as a custom option.
Wait for the draft
Reepl reads the tweet and any visible thread context above it, then generates a reply. The draft streams directly into X's reply box.
Edit and post
Tweak the reply if needed, then click Reply in X's composer to post it.
Press Escape at any point to close the menu and keep typing manually. Run / again on the same reply box to regenerate with a different style.
Analytics panel
Open the Reepl sidebar on any X page and select Analytics to see a summary of your connected X account's performance.
The panel shows:
- Impressions and Engagement rate for the selected period
- Likes, Replies, and Reposts totals
- Posting streak — the number of consecutive days you have posted
- Tweet count for the selected period
- Top tweets — your highest-performing tweets by impressions, with a direct link to each tweet on X
Use the 1M, 3M, and 6M buttons in the top-right of the panel to switch between a 1-month, 3-month, and 6-month view. Click the refresh icon to reload the data.
Posts panel
Open the Reepl sidebar on any X page and select Posts to see your tweet queue.
The panel has two tabs:
- Scheduled — tweets queued in Reepl that have not yet been published, each showing the scheduled date and time
- Published — tweets that have already gone live, each showing the publish date and impression/like counts where available
Each post card shows a preview of the tweet content, a thread label if it is part of a thread, and a link icon that opens the tweet directly on X (for published posts) or takes you to the Reepl web app (for scheduled posts).
