How to Configure Extension Settings

Learn how to manage widgets, sync data, and customize the Reepl Chrome extension

The Reepl Chrome extension menu gives you quick access to account information, widget controls, data syncing, and the ability to enable or disable the extension. Open it by clicking the Reepl icon in your Chrome toolbar.

You need the Reepl Chrome extension installed to access these settings. See Install Chrome Extension if you haven't set it up yet.

Open the extension menu

Click the Reepl icon in your Chrome toolbar to open the menu. Your profile card appears at the top showing your name, email, plan, and credit balance.

Enable or disable the extension

Toggle the Enable Extension switch directly below your profile card to turn the extension on or off. When disabled, Reepl widgets and features do not appear on LinkedIn pages. This setting is stored locally in your browser.

Switch theme

Click the Theme toggle to switch between light and dark mode. The change applies immediately across all extension surfaces.

Manage widgets

Open widget management

Click Manage Widgets in the menu to open the widget screen.

Toggle individual widgets

Enable or disable each widget independently:

  • Chat Widget Sidebar -- The AI sidebar panel injected into LinkedIn
  • Commenting Assistant -- AI comment suggestions on LinkedIn posts
  • Messaging Assistant -- AI reply suggestions in LinkedIn messages

Each toggle saves immediately to your browser's local storage.

View your account

Click your profile card at the top of the menu to view your profile information, including your name, title, and email. From the profile screen, click Log Out to sign out of the extension. Logging out clears your authentication tokens from the browser.

Resync data

Click Resync Data to refresh the extension's cached data from the Reepl servers. A spinner appears while syncing, followed by a confirmation or failure message.

Use this if the extension shows outdated information or is not reflecting recent changes made in the web app.

Click Link OpenAI API Key (or Manage API Key if one is already linked) to connect your own OpenAI key. When an API key is active, AI generation uses your key directly rather than Reepl credits.

Report a bug

Open the feedback form

Click Report Bug in the menu to open the feedback screen.

Submit your report

Describe the issue in the text field and click Submit to send your feedback.

A confirmation message appears when your feedback is received.
