How to Use the Post Editor on LinkedIn
Learn how to use Reepl's enhanced post editor toolbar inside LinkedIn's native post creation modal
The Reepl Chrome extension enhances LinkedIn's native post creation modal with a formatting toolbar, AI writing tools, and a content grading system. The toolbar appears automatically when you start writing a post and gives you access to rich text formatting, quick AI generation, draft saving, and post quality scoring.
You need the Reepl Chrome extension installed and enabled. See Install Chrome Extension for setup instructions.
Open LinkedIn's post creator
Click Start a post on your LinkedIn feed to open the native post creation modal.
Start writing your post
Begin typing in the editor. After you write at least 11 words, the Reepl toolbar appears below the text input area.
Format your text
Use the formatting buttons in the toolbar:
- Bold -- Make text bold
- Italic -- Italicize text
- Bullet list -- Add an unordered list
- Numbered list -- Add an ordered list
- Undo / Redo -- Reverse or reapply recent changes
Use Quick Generate for AI assistance
Click the AutoAwesome icon (sparkle icon) to open the Quick Generate panel. Select a writing template and style, then click Generate to have the AI rewrite or enhance your post. Your post must contain at least 11 words for Quick Generate to work.
Save as a draft
Click the Draft icon to save your current post to Reepl's drafts. Access saved drafts later from Managing Drafts in the web app.
Open the inspiration panel
Click the Idea icon to browse content inspiration and post ideas without leaving the editor.
Check your content grade
Click the Content Grading button to see a quality assessment of your post. The button displays a letter grade (A through F) that updates as you write. Click to open a detailed popup showing:
- Overall Virality Score -- A score from 0 to 100
- Readability -- How easy your post is to read
- Conciseness -- How tightly your message is written
- Engagement -- How likely the post is to generate interaction
Click View detailed analysis for the full virality checker tool, which automatically copies your post text to the clipboard.
The toolbar integrates directly into LinkedIn's post modal, so your workflow stays within LinkedIn while benefiting from Reepl's AI and formatting tools.
