How to Use Andy in the Extension
Learn how to chat with Andy, Reepl's AI assistant, directly on LinkedIn using the Chrome extension sidebar
Andy is Reepl's AI assistant. In the extension, Andy runs as a sidebar panel so you can get help writing content, analyzing profiles, and drafting messages without leaving LinkedIn. The same assistant is available as a full-page experience in the Reepl web app — your conversation threads are shared between both.
Before you start: You need the Reepl Chrome extension installed and active credits on your account. See Install Chrome Extension for setup instructions.
Open the Andy tab
Click the AI Chat icon in the sidebar navigation bar. The panel opens with the Andy header and an empty conversation state.
Choose a model
Use the model selector in the chat input area to pick how Andy responds:
- Auto — Reepl selects the best model for your request
- GPT-5 — OpenAI's GPT-5
- Sonnet 4.5 — Claude Sonnet 4.5
Start a conversation
Type your question or request in the chat input at the bottom of the panel and press Enter. Andy responds in the panel. You can continue the conversation with follow-up messages.
Upload files for context
Click the attachment icon in the chat input to upload files that give Andy additional context. Supported file types include articles, PDFs, images, and documents.
Start a new conversation
Click the + icon in the panel header to begin a fresh thread. To browse past conversations, click the clock icon to open the conversation history overlay, then select any thread to resume it.
Threads are saved automatically. When you open Andy in the Reepl web app, your extension conversations appear there as well — history is shared across both surfaces.
