How to Use Co-Pilot

Open the editor with Co-Pilot

Navigate to Content Creator and click the Write with AI source card. The editor opens with the Co-Pilot panel visible in the right sidebar.

If the Co-Pilot panel is hidden, click the Co-Pilot button (atom icon) in the toolbar to toggle it open.

Start a conversation

Type your request in the message field (placeholder: "Message Copilot...") and press Enter. For example:

• "Write a post about remote work productivity tips"
• "Turn this article into a LinkedIn post" (with a URL)
• "Rewrite this to sound more conversational"

Use content sources and attachments

Use the input toolbar to attach external content for the AI to work with:

• Click the paperclip icon to attach files directly: PDFs (up to 50MB), images (up to 4 per message), or audio files.
• Click the sliders icon to open the source menu, where you can add YouTube URLs, web articles, or connected integrations (Google Docs, Notion, Google Sheets, Airtable, Reddit, and others).

You can also click the microphone icon to use voice input instead of typing.

Select a style

Choose a visual style for the generated content from the style options in the Co-Pilot panel:

• Infographic, Minimal Illustration, Bold Text/Quote Card, Diagram/Flowchart, Flat Design, Comparison, Checklist, Data Visualization, Meme, or Custom Prompt

The style affects how the AI structures and formats the output.

Choose an AI model

Click the model selection dropdown in the Co-Pilot panel to pick your preferred AI model:

• Auto -- Automatically selects the best model for your request
• GPT-5.1 -- Available on all plans
• Sonnet 4.5 -- Claude Sonnet, available on Pro plan and above
• Opus 4.5 -- Claude Opus, requires connecting your own Anthropic API key in Settings > AI Models & API (BYOK)

If you have connected your own API keys in Settings > AI Models & API, those models appear in the dropdown as well. BYOK models do not count against your monthly message limit.

Review and edit the generated content

The AI inserts generated text into the editor. Use the editor toolbar to:

• Redo / Undo changes
• Clear Formatting to strip rich text
• Save as Template to reuse the format later
• Export as Image to download the post as an image
• Reset Content to clear the editor

Switch to the Preview tab to see how the post looks on Mobile, Tablet, or Desktop.

Continue the conversation

Send follow-up messages to refine the post. Ask Co-Pilot to shorten it, change the tone, add a call-to-action, or rewrite specific sections. The AI maintains context from earlier messages in the conversation.

Click New chat to start a fresh conversation without previous context.

Publish or save

Once you are satisfied with the content, click Save as Draft, Schedule Manually, Add to Queue, or Post Now.
