How to Use the AI Writing Assistant
Learn how to use Reepl's AI Copilot to generate and refine LinkedIn posts
The AI Writing Assistant (Copilot) is a conversational AI that helps you generate, rewrite, and refine LinkedIn posts. It supports multiple content sources, voice input, file attachments, and different AI models.
Copilot has a monthly message limit that varies by subscription plan. Your current usage is shown at the bottom of the Copilot panel as "X/Y monthly messages used."
Open the editor with Copilot
Navigate to Content Creator and click the Write with AI source card. The editor opens with the Copilot panel visible in the right sidebar.
If the Copilot panel is hidden, click the Copilot button (atom icon) in the toolbar to toggle it open.
Start a conversation
Type your request in the message field (placeholder: "Message Copilot...") and press Enter. For example:
- "Write a post about remote work productivity tips"
- "Turn this article into a LinkedIn post" (with a URL)
- "Rewrite this to sound more conversational"
Use content sources
Attach external content for the AI to work with:
- YouTube -- Paste a video URL to generate a post from the video content
- Articles -- Paste an article URL to transform it into a post
- PDFs -- Upload a PDF document (up to 50MB) for the AI to reference
You can also use the microphone icon for voice input instead of typing.
Select a style
Choose a visual style for the generated content from the style options in the Copilot panel:
- Infographic, Minimal Illustration, Bold Text/Quote Card, Diagram/Flowchart, Flat Design, Comparison, Checklist, Data Visualization, Meme, or Custom Prompt
The style affects how the AI structures and formats the output.
Choose an AI model
Click the model selection dropdown in the Copilot panel to pick your preferred AI model. The available models depend on your subscription plan.
Review and edit the generated content
The AI inserts generated text into the editor. Use the editor toolbar to:
- Redo / Undo changes
- Clear Formatting to strip rich text
- Save as Template to reuse the format later
- Export as Image to download the post as an image
- Reset Content to clear the editor
Switch to the Preview tab to see how the post looks on Mobile, Tablet, or Desktop.
Continue the conversation
Send follow-up messages to refine the post. Ask Copilot to shorten it, change the tone, add a call-to-action, or rewrite specific sections. The AI maintains context from earlier messages in the conversation.
Click New chat to start a fresh conversation without previous context.
Publish or save
Once you are satisfied with the content, click Save as Draft, Schedule Manually, Add to Queue, or Post Now.
