How to Humanize a Co-Pilot Draft

Learn how to remove common AI-writing patterns from a Co-Pilot draft using the Humanize button in Reepl

The Humanize button removes common AI-writing tells (em dashes, "delve", rule-of-three patterns, vague attributions, and 26 other markers) from any Co-Pilot draft. Use it on a generated post to get a more natural, human-sounding version before you edit or publish.

Before you start: Humanize runs on a generated Co-Pilot draft. Open Co-Pilot and ask it to write a post first. Each Humanize run costs credits, so it's billed like a normal Co-Pilot generation.

Open Co-Pilot

From the left sidebar, click Co-Pilot, or open the Co-Pilot panel from inside the content creator.

Generate a draft

Type your prompt and let Co-Pilot generate a post. The draft appears as a card in the chat with the post text, an edit button, and a row of icon buttons across the bottom.

Click the Humanize icon

In the action row at the bottom of the draft card, click the fingerprint icon (the third icon, next to copy and regenerate). The button is labelled Humanize on hover.

Review the rewritten draft

Co-Pilot replaces the draft text with a humanized version. Scan the output:

  • Em dashes are replaced with periods or commas
  • AI-tell vocabulary ("delve", "leverage", "robust", etc.) is swapped for plainer language
  • Rule-of-three constructions and negative parallelisms are broken up
  • Promotional and inflated phrasing is toned down

Save or edit

If you're happy with the result, click Edit to drop it into the editor for fine-tuning, or Save as Draft to add it to your drafts.

What success looks like

The post text in the draft card updates in place. The Co-Pilot chat keeps the original prompt but the visible draft is now the humanized version. You can run Humanize again on the same draft if the first pass didn't go far enough — each run is independent and uses the latest visible text as input.

Tips

  • Run Humanize last. Generate, regenerate, or refine the post first. Run Humanize once you're happy with the structure and message — it's a final-pass tool, not a starting point.
  • Pair with your voice profile. Humanize strips AI patterns; your voice profile keeps the tone consistent. Used together, drafts read more like you and less like a model.
  • Check the result. Humanize is conservative but not perfect. Skim the output for any odd word swaps before publishing.
