How to Cross-Post from LinkedIn to Twitter

Learn how to repurpose your LinkedIn posts for Twitter/X using Reepl's cross-posting feature with AI-powered format and tone options

Reepl can repurpose your LinkedIn content for Twitter/X using AI. Instead of manually rewriting a long-form LinkedIn post to fit a 280-character tweet, the cross-post feature generates adapted suggestions with format and tone options.

Before you start: You need both a connected LinkedIn account and a connected Twitter/X account.

Open the Content Creator with LinkedIn content

Navigate to Content Creator with an existing LinkedIn post loaded -- either by editing a published post, opening a draft, or writing new content with LinkedIn as the active platform.

Open the cross-post menu

Click the Post to channels button in the composer toolbar. A popover shows your available platforms.

Enable Twitter / X

Toggle Twitter / X on in the channel list. If your Twitter composer already has different content, a sync dialog asks whether to replace it with the LinkedIn content.

Choose format and tone

The repurpose feature offers these options:

Format:

  • Single tweet -- condenses your post into one tweet (280 characters)
  • Thread -- splits your post into a multi-tweet thread
  • Auto -- Reepl picks the best format based on content length

Tone:

  • Same -- keeps the same tone as the original
  • Casual -- makes the tone more conversational
  • Punchy -- shortens and sharpens for maximum impact

Review and edit suggestions

Reepl generates AI-powered suggestions based on your format and tone choices. Each suggestion shows the adapted content and character count. Pick one and edit as needed in the Twitter composer.

Publish or schedule

Once you are happy with the adapted content, publish it immediately or schedule it for later.

What success looks like

Your LinkedIn post is now published (or scheduled) as a tweet or thread on X, adapted for the platform's format and audience.

Tips

  • Use "Punchy" tone for single tweets. LinkedIn posts tend to be verbose for Twitter. The punchy option strips filler and focuses on the hook.
  • Threads work best for list-style LinkedIn posts. If your original post has numbered points or a step-by-step structure, the thread format preserves that structure naturally.
  • Edit the AI suggestions. The repurpose feature gives you a starting point, not a finished product. Add your voice, fix nuances, and make sure the tweet stands on its own without the LinkedIn context.
