How to Use the Prompt Library
Learn how to browse, manage, and apply prompts for AI-generated comments and messages in Reepl
The Prompt Library stores reusable prompts that control how Reepl generates comments and messages. Each prompt defines a tone, style, or response pattern that the AI follows when creating content on your behalf.
Open the Prompt Library
Navigate to Settings > Prompt Library or go directly to /settings/prompt-library.
Switch platforms
Use the platform selector at the top of the page to switch between LinkedIn and X (Twitter) prompts. Each option shows the platform's icon.
Browse prompts by category
For LinkedIn, switch between the Comments and Messages tabs to view prompts for each type. For X, switch between X Replies, for replying to tweets, and X Messages, for replying in X chats. Use the search bar to filter prompts by content.
Each prompt displays an icon, a title (slug), a description (the prompt text), and an enabled/disabled status.
Enable or disable prompts
Toggle individual prompts on or off. Enabled prompts appear as options in the Chrome extension when generating comments or messages. You can also mark a prompt as the default so it is pre-selected.
Import or export prompts
Click the menu to access Import Prompts or Export Prompts. This lets you share prompt sets between accounts or back up your configuration.
Enabled LinkedIn prompts appear in the Chrome extension's tone/voice selector when generating comments or messages on LinkedIn. The AI follows the prompt instructions to match your preferred style.
Your enabled prompts also appear when you type / in a reply box on the Engagement Feed, opening a menu to quickly apply one to your reply.
Message prompts, on LinkedIn Messages and on X Messages, are organized into groups. Select a group before adding or editing message prompts.
X Messages and groups
The X Messages tab holds the prompts that appear when you type / in an X chat with the Reepl extension. Prompts are organized into Message Groups, one per kind of conversation. Reepl starts you with three groups: Default, Networking, and Sales.
- Open a group to see its prompts. Use Add Prompt to create one in that group.
- Use Add Group to create your own group, for example for partners or support conversations.
- Open a prompt's menu to view, edit, duplicate, copy, or delete it.
Your prompts and groups show up in the extension's / menu, grouped the same way. Changes can take a couple of minutes to reach the extension; refresh the X tab if you do not see them. See AI replies in X messages for how the menu works.
