How to Use Signals
Learn how to use Signals in Reepl to discover trending topics, content opportunities, and audience questions matched to your niche
Signals delivers a personalised feed of content opportunities, trending topics, and audience questions directly to your Reepl inbox. Instead of manually scanning Reddit, YouTube, and Google Trends for post ideas, Signals does it for you -- matched to your niche and refreshed every two hours.
Before you start: Signals requires a Pro plan or above. Free users can set up a signal profile but need to upgrade to receive signals.
How Signals works
Reepl scans multiple sources and surfaces the most relevant results based on your signal profile -- your niche, topics, angle, and preferred sources. Each signal includes:
- Title and summary -- what the conversation or trend is about
- Source -- where it came from (Reddit, YouTube, Google Trends, RSS, or Twitter/X)
- Type badge -- categorised as Opportunity, Trending, or Inspiration
- Relevancy score -- how closely it matches your niche (blue bar, 0--100)
- Trending score -- how much momentum it has right now (amber bar, 0--100)
- Engagement bars -- a visual indicator of overall hotness
Signal types
| Type | What it means |
|---|---|
| Opportunity | Real questions and problems your audience is asking about right now. These are chances to provide value and position yourself as an expert. |
| Trending | Topics gaining momentum in your niche this week. Good for timely, high-visibility posts. |
| Inspiration | High-performing content and ideas from your space that you can riff on or put your own spin on. |

Navigating the Signals inbox
Open Signals
From the left sidebar, click Signals. The Signals inbox opens showing your personalised feed.
Filter by status
Use the tabs at the top of the inbox to switch between views:
- All -- every signal except dismissed ones
- New -- signals you have not interacted with yet
- Saved -- signals you bookmarked for later
- Dismissed -- signals you chose to hide
Filter by type or source
On desktop, use the left sidebar to narrow results by Type (Opportunity, Trending, Inspiration) or Source (Reddit, YouTube, Google Trends, RSS, Twitter/X). On mobile, use the filter pills below the status tabs.
Active filters appear as chips above the signal list. Click the x on a chip or select Clear filters to remove them.
Interact with a signal
Each signal card offers these actions:
- Bookmark (bookmark icon) -- save the signal for later reference
- Dismiss (x icon) -- hide it from your inbox
- View source -- open the original content in a new tab
- Write Post -- send the signal's context to the content creator and start writing a post based on it
What success looks like
After setting up your signal profile, new signals appear in your inbox every two hours. You will see a mix of opportunities, trending topics, and inspiration matched to your niche. The Relevancy and Trending scores help you prioritise which signals to act on first.
If your inbox shows "You're all caught up," check back in a couple of hours. Signals refresh automatically throughout the day.
Tips
- Check Signals before your content session. Scanning your inbox before writing gives you timely, audience-validated post ideas instead of starting from a blank page.
- Save signals you want to revisit. Bookmarked signals stay in your Saved tab so you can batch-write posts later.
- Use the Write Post button. It pre-fills the content creator with the signal's context so you can draft a post in seconds rather than starting from scratch.
- Adjust your profile if signals feel off. If you are getting irrelevant results, update your topics, angle, or avoid list from the settings icon in the sidebar.
