Repurpose One Idea Into Multiple Formats
Turn a single content idea into a text post, carousel, video script, and image using Reepl's creation tools
One good idea can fuel an entire week of content. This guide shows you how to take a single concept and produce four different LinkedIn content formats using Reepl's AI writing and creation tools.
You need access to the content creator and creation tools. A voice profile is recommended so all outputs share a consistent tone.
Start with a core idea
Pick one idea you want to explore. This could be:
- A lesson you learned at work
- An industry insight or trend
- A personal story with a professional takeaway
- A framework or process you use
Write it down as a single sentence. For example: "The most effective cold outreach messages share three traits."
Create a text post
Open the Content Creator and select Write with AI. Enter your core idea and let the AI Writing Assistant generate a draft. Refine it into a standard LinkedIn text post -- aim for 200-500 words that explore the idea in a conversational tone.
Save this as a draft or publish it directly. This text post becomes the foundation for the other formats.
Turn it into a carousel
Open the Carousel Generator and select From existing post or From topic. Paste your core idea or the text post content. The AI breaks it down into individual slides.
Edit each slide to be self-contained -- someone should understand the point from the slide alone, without reading the full text post. Customize the design to match your brand.
See the carousel guide for detailed design tips.
Generate a video script
Navigate to the Video Script Generator and enter your core idea. The AI produces a structured video script with an intro hook, main points, and a closing CTA.
Review the script for a natural speaking tone -- video scripts should feel conversational, not like a written essay. Adjust the length to match your target video duration (60-90 seconds works well for LinkedIn).
Create a visual image
Open the Image Generator and describe the visual you want. For a concept like "three traits of effective cold outreach," you might generate an infographic-style image, a quote card, or an illustrated diagram.
Use the image as a standalone visual post or pair it with a shorter version of your text post.
Schedule across the week
Open the Calendar View and spread your four content pieces across the week:
- Monday -- Text post (introduces the idea)
- Wednesday -- Carousel (deep dive into the framework)
- Thursday -- Image post (visual summary or quote)
- Friday -- Video script (record and upload, or share as a text-based video post)
This spacing ensures your audience sees the idea multiple times in different formats without it feeling repetitive.
You have turned one idea into four pieces of content, each suited to a different consumption style. Over time, this repurposing workflow becomes faster as you develop a library of core ideas.
