Create LinkedIn Carousels That Drive Engagement

Design, customize, and publish LinkedIn carousels using Reepl's carousel generator

LinkedIn carousels consistently outperform text-only posts in terms of engagement. This guide walks you through creating a carousel from scratch, customizing the design, and publishing it using Reepl's Carousel Generator.

The Carousel Generator is a Pro plan feature. You need a connected LinkedIn account to post or schedule carousels directly.

Navigate to Creation Tools > Carousel Generator from the left sidebar, or go directly to Carousel Generator in the app.

Choose your content source

Select how you want to generate your carousel content:

  • Topics -- Type a topic or description and let AI generate the slide content
  • YouTube URL -- Paste a YouTube video link to convert it into slides
  • Article URL -- Paste a web article link to turn it into a carousel
  • PDF upload -- Upload a PDF document to extract content from
  • Write from scratch -- Enter your own text for each slide
  • From existing post -- Repurpose one of your text posts as a carousel

Generate slides

Click Generate. The AI creates a set of slides (5--40) based on your input, with a suggested breakdown including a title slide, content slides, and a closing CTA slide. Each slide has a Title and Content field.

Edit your slide content

Switch to the Content tab to review and refine each slide:

  • Edit the title and content text on each slide
  • Drag slides to reorder them
  • Clone a slide to duplicate it
  • Delete slides you do not need

For best results:

  • Keep each slide focused on a single idea or point
  • Use short sentences and bullet points for readability
  • Ensure the first slide has a strong hook that makes people want to swipe
  • End with a clear call to action on the final slide (ask a question, invite comments, or direct to a link)

Add your branding

Switch to the User tab to add your personal branding:

  • Enter your Name and Designation/Bio
  • Upload a Headshot image
  • Click Add headshot to all frames to apply it across every slide, or use Apply to This Frame for individual slides

Customize the design

Switch to the Theme tab to style your carousel and match your brand:

  • Select a preset from the Select Theme dropdown
  • Browse Background Templates and Graphic Elements
  • Upload a Custom Background image
  • Adjust Primary, Secondary, and Background colors
  • Use Remove Background to strip the background entirely

Preview the carousel as you make changes to see how each slide looks. Check for:

  • Consistent visual style across all slides
  • Text that is readable on mobile screens (where most LinkedIn browsing happens)
  • A logical progression from hook to content to CTA

Format your caption

Write a companion caption for the post. Use the Post Formatter to add line breaks, special characters, and formatting. A good caption summarizes what the carousel covers and encourages people to swipe through.

Publish, schedule, or download

Switch to the Preview tab to see the final result. Then choose an action:

  • Post to LinkedIn -- Publish the carousel immediately
  • Schedule to LinkedIn -- Pick a date and time for future publishing
  • Download -- Export as a PDF file
  • Reset -- Clear everything and start over

The carousel is uploaded as a PDF document to LinkedIn, which renders it as a swipeable carousel.

Your carousel is now live on LinkedIn (or scheduled for later). Track its performance in Analytics to see engagement and reach compared to your text posts.
