Create LinkedIn Carousels That Drive Engagement
Design, customize, and publish LinkedIn carousels using Reepl's carousel generator
LinkedIn carousels consistently outperform text-only posts in terms of engagement. This guide walks you through creating a carousel from scratch using Reepl's carousel generator, customizing the design, and publishing it.
You need a connected LinkedIn account. Familiarity with the content creator is helpful but not required.
Open the carousel generator
Navigate to Creation Tools > Carousel Generator in the left sidebar, or go directly to the Carousel Generator page.
Choose your content source
Select how you want to generate your carousel content:
- Write from scratch -- Enter your own text for each slide
- From topic -- Provide a topic and let AI generate the slide content
- From article -- Paste a URL and convert an article into carousel slides
- From existing post -- Repurpose one of your text posts as a carousel
The AI generates a suggested slide breakdown with a title slide, content slides, and a closing CTA slide.
Edit your slide content
Review each slide and refine the text:
- Keep each slide focused on a single idea or point
- Use short sentences and bullet points for readability
- Ensure the first slide has a strong hook that makes people want to swipe
- End with a clear call to action on the final slide (ask a question, invite comments, or direct to a link)
Customize the design
Use the design panel to match your brand:
- Color scheme -- Pick brand colors for backgrounds, text, and accents
- Typography -- Choose fonts and text sizes for headings and body text
- Layout -- Select from grid, centered, or split layouts for each slide
- Images -- Add background images, icons, or illustrations to individual slides
Preview the carousel as you make changes to see how each slide looks.
Preview and adjust
Swipe through the full carousel preview to check the flow. Look for:
- Consistent visual style across all slides
- Text that is readable on mobile screens (where most LinkedIn browsing happens)
- A logical progression from hook to content to CTA
- Slide count between 5 and 15 -- enough to deliver value without losing attention
Format your caption
Write a companion caption for the post. Use the Post Formatter to add line breaks, special characters, and formatting. A good caption summarizes what the carousel covers and encourages people to swipe through.
Publish or schedule
Click Post Now to publish immediately, or Schedule to pick a future date and time. The carousel is uploaded as a PDF document to LinkedIn, which renders it as a swipeable carousel.
Your carousel is live on LinkedIn. Track its performance in Analytics to see swipe rates, engagement, and reach compared to your text posts.
