How to Generate a LinkedIn About Section

Open the About Section Generator

Navigate to Creation Tools > About Section Generator from the left sidebar, or go directly to About Section Generator in the app.

Choose a template

Select one of six available templates:

• Story-Based -- A narrative journey through your professional experience
• Achievement-Focused -- Highlights your key accomplishments and results
• Value Proposition -- Communicates what you offer to clients or employers
• Mission-Driven -- Focuses on your purpose and the impact you aim to make
• Expertise Showcase -- Emphasizes your specialized skills and knowledge
• Problem-Solution -- Presents the problems you solve and how you solve them

Click View Example on any template to see a sample output before committing. Click the template card to select it and advance to the next step.

Enter your professional details

Fill in the form fields. Required fields are marked with an asterisk:

• Professional Role -- Your current job title (e.g., "Senior Software Engineer")
• Industry -- The industry you work in
• Experience -- Years and scope of your experience
• Skills -- Your core competencies
• Target Audience -- Who you want to reach on LinkedIn

Optional fields include Achievements, Values, Tone (default: Professional), Include Call to Action toggle (default: on), and Include Emoji toggle (default: off).

Click Generate to create your About section.

Review and use the result

The generated About section appears with a character count. You have three options:

• Copy -- Copy the text to your clipboard to paste into LinkedIn
• Download -- Save the text as a linkedin-about-section.txt file
• Regenerate -- Run the generator again with the same inputs for a different result
