How to Roast a LinkedIn Profile
Learn how to use Reepl's Profile Roaster to generate a humorous, shareable AI roast of any LinkedIn profile
The Profile Roaster generates a comedic, AI-written critique of any LinkedIn profile. It is useful for creating engaging social content, entertaining your audience, or simply taking a lighthearted look at professional brand building -- your own or someone else's.
Before you start: The Profile Roaster requires the Reepl Chrome extension to be installed and active. It also requires a Reepl Pro plan or above. If the extension is not detected, the page will show a three-step setup guide before you can proceed.
Open the Profile Roaster
Navigate to Creation Tools in the left sidebar, then select Profile Roaster. You can also go directly to app.reepl.io/creation-tools/profile-roaster.
If the Reepl Chrome extension is not detected, follow the on-screen guide:
- Click Install Extension to open the extension download page.
- Open the LinkedIn profile you want to roast in a new tab.
- Come back, paste the URL, and run the roast.
Open the LinkedIn profile you want to roast
In a separate tab, navigate to the target LinkedIn profile. Copy the full URL from your browser's address bar.
Paste the profile URL
Return to the Profile Roaster tab and paste the URL into the Enter LinkedIn profile URL field.
Select a language
Open the language dropdown and choose the language for the roast output. The default is English (United States). Multiple languages are supported.
Generate the roast
Click the Roast button. The tool fetches the profile data, processes it through the AI, and generates the roast. This typically takes 20-40 seconds.
View and share your roast
Once processing is complete, a redirect card appears confirming the roast is ready. Click Unlock Full Roast (100% Free) to open the full results page.
The roast results page shows a Roast Temperature score -- a comedic rating of the profile across categories including Personal Branding, Experience, Skills, Education, and Completeness -- alongside the written roast content broken down by profile section.
You can share the results using the Share button, which generates a public link anyone can view without a Reepl account. Sharing a roast is a common way to spark engagement on LinkedIn.
The roaster reads only publicly visible profile information. No private messages, connection lists, or non-public data are accessed. Results are intended for entertainment and educational purposes only. By running a roast, you consent to the profile data being sent to Reepl's servers and processed by third-party AI models.
